Zakhar Fedkiv is a delightful 6 year-old boy from Mykolaiv, Ukraine. He lost his right arm in an electrical fire. He was first seen at DCTOHC’s outreach clinic in Lviv in 2013. While there, he underwent reconstructive surgeries to preserve part of his humerus and facilitate prosthetic rehabilitation. Zakhar and his mother Tetiana arrived in Boston on June 1st. He will be outfitted with a prosthetic arm while here. He misses his little brother back in Ukraine, but has made a new friend, Ihor Lakatosh, and the two boys enjoy playing with cars, watching cartoons and blowing bubbles.
