A child successfully airlifted after a blast injury

We want to share a small success story amidst the craziness of what’s happening right now.

A child of war successfully airlifted after a blast injury from the war torn area of Mariupol. He made a long way to us through Mariupol-Dnipro-Lviv-Kraków-Island-Washington DC-Augusta, GA.

It was a ten day marathon: to establish an evacuation path, to find an aircraft to fit the child with multiple fixators on his extremities, to schedule the flight, to establish communication with Home Land Security Office because the US embassy in Ukraine was evacuated, to find hospital to accept the child, to rise funding ($143,000) with other NGOs to pay for airlift, to collaborate with emergency services for the ground transportations, to communicate with medical teams in Dnipro/Kraków and air transport team.

We would’t even try to list all people who get involved.
Thank you all for the team work.
